The intent of this section is to
provide a basic understanding on some of the technology behind analog
music synthesizers. Analog music synthesizer design spans a large number of
disciplines which are barely covered here, if at all. It is hoped we can
impart some basic information, or at least be a springboard to other sites that might offer more specifics.
Please write us if you find errors
or issues of clarity. Technical writing can be a difficult task. As
this area of my site is "hobby" related, we cannot justify the effort
of someone to proof read this material before publishing it on the web.
Browse through the various pages and
see if there is anything of interest to you. Suggestions for additional
material and links are most welcome. Enjoy!
At this time, only "Opamps
I" has any content. I'll add other stuff as time permits. If
you'd like to see something explained, let me know. Otherwise I'll assume
that nobody is looking and there is little point in adding other content.
Maybe something you'd like to know more about that would be of general
interest? Let me know.
Update: Check
out Synth Modules and Voltage Control. Some very basic stuff about analog
synthesizers is in there. If you are a veteran synthesist, this is old hat.
